This sandwich doesn't sound like one that is versatile, but there are a myriad of ways in which it can be created.  We'll start with the most basic style.

Bread:

White, thin-sliced.

Filling:

Keeping with simplicity, 'creamy' peanut butter spread on one slice of bread, and plain grape or strawberry jelly on the other.  No other ingredients are necessary.

Variations:

Here's where the fun begins.  Again, countless ways to create this sandwich; here are a few:

1.  Substitute 'creamy' with 'crunchy' for an added dimension.  A personal favorite.

2.  Use any variety and flavor of jelly, jam, preserves, etc.  to your liking.  Use only one, though!

3.  Grill the sandwich (butter each side, grill in a pan until golden brown).

4.  Add additional ingredients to the filling: banana slices, pickles, honey, chocolate syrup, etc.

5.  A combination of two or more of the above variations.
